Helicopter is a long-term, EU-funded research project aimed at supporting individuals over sixty-five in maintaining a healthy lifestyle within their own homes, using sensors integrated into an IoT system.
As a service designer I led collaboration between European companies, organizations, and institutions to develop an innovative service solution, leveraging existing technologies to support connected and healthy aging. See experience prototyping video here.
Outcome
- Gained deep insights into user behaviors, motivations, and emotional responses through cultural probes, in-context interviews and emotional maps.
- Developed user-specific low-fidelity prototypes that surfaced crucial health-related behavioral patterns to research participants.
- Gathered rich qualitative user data to inform design decisions and enhance user understanding.
- Fostered stakeholder engagement and co-creation, leading to more aligned and effective solutions.
- Created and tested experience prototypes to validate concepts and refine the user journey.
