Unified, User-Friendly Guidance System for new Business Owners in Denmark
Unified, User-Friendly Guidance System for new Business Owners in Denmark
Description
Together with my team at governmental innovation unit Mindlab, we led a Danish Ministry of Business and Growth initiative to simplify legal administrative burdens for small to medium enterprises. Through user interviews, journey mapping, and collaborative prototyping (including a design game and stakeholder workshops), we uncovered pain points and tested solutions to bridge gaps between authorities.
Resulting in actionable recommendations for a seamless, user-friendly system, the recommendations reduced confusion and helped founders focus on growth, not bureaucracy.
Outcome
- Through qualitative in-context interviews and journey mapping, identified key frustrations for new business owners, such as confusing terminology and fragmented guidance, providing a clear, evidence-based foundation for service improvements.
- Used stakeholder workshops, roleplaying, and a design game to bridge gaps between authorities, policymakers, and entrepreneurs, fostering collaborative problem-solving and shared ownership of the solution.
- Translated insights into practical, user-centered guidelines for cross-agency cooperation, enabling a more cohesive, efficient system that reduces bureaucratic hurdles for startups.
